ROOTS SHAKEDOWN

Captivating fans of all ages through dynamic live shows, West Palm Beach's Roots Shakedown is making their presence felt in the rapidly expanding East Coast reggae scene. The release of their first E.P. "Mash up the Sound" in August of 2010 has established a loyal fan base. Joining founding members Brett Staska on bass and Tony Contreras on guitar, Roots Shakedown completes their sound with Chris Cope on keyboards, Mitch Sadowski on drums and Ryan "Uncle Sam" Pfau as a new front man. Roots Shakedown has solidified a lineup of skilled and dedicated members whose eclectic backgrounds bring originality. "We want our music to be for everyone. Both universal and unifying," says bassist/vocalist Brett Staska. Although they are deemed a reggae band, Roots Shakedown draws influences from many other genres of music, which is evident in both their recordings and live shows. Genres such as blues, rock, ska, soul, dancehall, calypso, punk and dub can all be heard and combine into one completely unique sound. To keep up with Roots Shakedown and browse upcoming shows, please visit www.RootsShakedown.com
